Recall
Restore Trust in District 1 Representation
Who We Are:
Just like you, we are citizens of Shasta County. We
are moms, dads, grandparents, workers, retirees, students…everyday people who
are invested in the success of our community.
We come from diverse backgrounds, opinions, political affiliations,
cultures, and communities in our region.
The common purpose that unites us all is the need to see that our elected officials
follow the law, behave ethically and with common sense, and act responsibly as
the stewards of OUR taxpayer dollars.
Our Concerns
Kevin Crye promised to be fiscally responsible, focus on public safety, increase transparency/accountability, and help “unify and heal” in support of a "cleaner, safer, and more affordable Shasta County." Instead, in the 4 short months since he took office, Kevin Crye has done the opposite:
· Voted to throw away potentially millions of taxpayer dollars by relying on the disproven opinions of election deniers and terminating the contract with Dominion Voting Systems in favor of a costly and untested hand-count system. The Registrar of Voters has estimated this move will cost the County an extra $1.65 million for each future statewide election.
· Considered, actively promoted, and offered the County CEO position to a divisive and extremist candidate (Chriss Street), who was held liable for $7 million for financial mismanagement, is currently under investigation for inappropriate behavior, and who is second-in-charge of “New California State,” an organization dedicated to splitting California.
· Used county money to secretly fly out and visit with known election denier and voting conspiracist Mike Lindell (“The MyPillow Guy”) to help fund an unneeded replacement voting system.
Our County is in crisis and we must act now. Supervisor Crye’s actions are not in line with his campaign promises. They’re already costing us unnecessary money which needs to be spent in ways that improve our community, NOT destroy it. His actions have decreased transparency and further divide us, the citizens of Shasta County.
The recall of Supervisor Crye is necessary to preserve our limited resources and return stable government to Shasta County!
